Success Stories

George

Found in Edremit, TRNC, emaciated with patches of fur missing approximately 8 months old. Taken to the vets, no microchip, dangerously malnourished and dehydrated. Treated for internal & external parasites, blood test done.

A paid foster was found, Flights were booked and he arrived in the UK in October 2014.  He has lived happily with his new family for almost 12 years, he is now slightly overweight, but very loved and very happy.

Flossie

Flossie rescued from the side of a road, had a badly injured leg possibly a traffic accident or a dog attack. Unfortunately, after consulting with a vet the leg had to be amputated a week later. Obviously, she could not be returned to the street.  A permanent loving home was found in the TRNC. Flossie is living a full and happy life with her new family, we are so pleased that this 3-legged beautiful cat need no longer try and survive on the streets.

Amelia

Amelia is a street cat picked up to be neutered by Hope 4 Pets as part of a neutering programme. After her initial health check at the vets, we were informed that she needed all her remaining teeth removing, plus she had a hole in the roof of her mouth, most probably trauma from an RTA a long time ago.  Hope 4 Pets paid for teeth removal, medication and she was spayed.  Amelia could not be returned to the streets.  A loving home was found in the TRNC, where she is enjoying life with a number of other cats and her human family.

Frodo

In 2017 Frodo was found hiding behind rubbish and rocks near the football stadium in Kyremia, he was approximately 4 months old. Initially he was fed and given tick/worming treatment, as he was covered in ticks.

Once he had gained enough confidence in humans he was taken to the vets for a checkup.

He was initially placed in foster whilst we tried to find him a new home.  Fortunately for Frodo the foster family fell in love with him and he now lives a very happy new life in North Cyprus, where he is a much-loved member of the family.

He is a very calm and well-mannered dog and visits schools to educate the children on animal welfare.

Lizzie

Felix – AKA Lizzie, found in the TRNC being chased by a gang of dogs, and also having a bit of trouble with other cats, as we now know she is a female, these were probably tom cats! We could not leave in the area as it was too dangerous.

Lizzie was taken to a paid cattery temporarily until we could find her a home. A home was found in the UK and Lizzy travelled to the UK in 2023 with the help of Hope 4 Pets Travel.

She now lives with her other feline friends in Yorkshire, and is a very pampered and much loved member of the family.

Keesha

Found outside a shop in Çatalköy, TRNC she had been there some time and was unable to walk.

Taken to the vet who informed us she had a badly broken coccyx. She needed foster care to recover.

A failed foster she is now living a happy contented life as part of a loving family, she was also neutered by Hope 4 Pets.
